About This Blog

I'm a mostly-vegetarian, full-time student who happens to enjoy cooking. I like meals that can be frozen, and leftovers are a necessity for lunches. I don't know how to follow a recipe, and I make things up as I go along. My meals represent my attempt to balance convenience, creativity, taste, and health. In this blog, I share my successes, and occasionally my failures. My toaster oven is dirty, my oven mitts are scorched, and my cutlery doesn't match, but I'm a real person and everything posted here was actually cooked for me and my husband, Kyle.

I started sending recipes to my family and friends in November of 2007, and my switch to blog format has been bumpy, to say the least. Since I also care about the environment, I also have the occasional "green" tip, trick, or tutorial.
